In our last podcast, we discussed the importance of ministerial training. In this week’s podcast, we explain why Bible college is the best place for a person to receive ministerial training. Remember, it is never too early to start considering, or planning to attend, Bible college.

1. Bible college helps you meet the educational requirements for different vocations in ministry.
2. Bible college is a powerful investment in your Christian life.
3. Bible college provides a spiritual environment that is vital for your preparation for ministry.
4. Bible college creates an interactive learning environment that will help you maximize your efforts in ministry preparation.
5. Bible college allows you to form networks and build relational support that will last a lifetime.
6. Bible college gives you an appreciation for diversity in the body of Christ.
7. Bible college provides you with powerful relevant resources which gives you hands-on access to the best resources in ministry.
8. Bible college allows you to nurture a deeper preparedness.

After being involved with many professionals over a long period of time, we have noticed that many people who were dismissed from ministry had met their educational requirements through some kind of independent correspondence program.

What we have observed is that people who are educated through these programs and are subsequently unsuccessful in ministry are:

1. Less committed, and look for short cuts, which inevitably manifests itself later in life.
2. Less dedicated than those who attend a four-year Bible college, where the former would likely be weeded out.
3. Lacking the benefits of mentoring, daily interaction, and spiritual environment that are offered at Bible college.

Those who attend a Bible college are more prepared to endure. There is no greater investment you could make in your life and ministry. In our next podcast, we will give practical tips on how to find the right Bible college for you. Remember, keep the faith, and always explore the call.
